Today’s post is a guest post from @BowTiedArcticFo on how he uses TikTok to grow his Virtual Empires on Roblox. He writes Metaverse Education. Check it out if you haven’t.
I’ve made a few small tweeks on formatting, other than that, everything below the line is from him.
At the end of the post is a few businesses that subscribers like you are creating. Check them out and see what less than a year of good information and action can accomplish. Note - I’m not endorsing any business. Just giving exposure to people that are putting in the work.
Hi ArcticFox here, it’s come to my attention many users are looking for organic ways to obtain traffic, and right now there is no better platform than Tik Tok for this.
I’ve been using Tik Tok as a way to grow my Virtual Empires on Roblox for a few years now and almost 95% of my content isn’t even made by me but made by the audience themselves. So i’ve been able to understand and learn a lot about the systems and patterns at play which make successful Tik Toks. I’m going to share that information with you today.
So today we will be going through a few strategies, tips, & scaling methods for Tik Tok.
This information will be universal for those looking to build a website or run Tik Tok’s for whatever business they are in.
Rule #1
Before you start posting content, dial into who your target audience is and your competition. You’ll notice after admiring your competition most of their videos aren’t actually that good. If we look at the astrology sector, some creators had been able to get Top videos (500k views) yet not realize their own strategy to keep getting high-preforming videos like this.
You’ll see their posting history and they have no real pattern or strategy to securing more views. What’s important is dialing into this evergreen content and trying to recreate it in different formats for your audience. During this time you want to be testing different hashtags & slight variations with speech.
Tik Tok’s biggest hook is usually the music, but in the astrology niche and a few others you don’t use music as when you do readings you have to actually speak to the audience. However, there is no REAL difference between a video with music and one without music.
Every video must have a new hook every 3 seconds, a new emotional appeal, a new “I relate to this” a new “I claim this” etc.
After you have the actual video you want to curate your content to the algorithm so it knows where to push your content towards, this is important for the algorithm to pick up its initial flow (once it spots which audience the video curates to, it’ll start directing it in those people’s faces a lot more )
Preferably 2 major hashtags, and 2 lowkey niched down hashtags. This way you’re reaching a big and small audience, just don’t overdo it 3-4 are solid.
Rule #2
Music, depending on your niche your content may need a narrator’s voice reading the text, or a girl reading the text. But our goal is to use music if our niche enables us to do so. Usually, music is the most hooking and engaging feature, the right song mixed with the right content. The user will instantly grow attached to hearing the rest of the song and be unable to pull away from the content. Now before you keep reading, I cannot stress this enough. Music is basically everything on Tik Tok, if you have a good video but the wrong song the entire thing is garbage. Don’t look at whatever Tik Tok suggests you play, you have to do some research for trending music on the platform.
What I advise against is not making your account a business account as you’ll end up being forced to use WAY LESS songs than a normal account can use.

Rule #3
Posting amount, don’t publish more than 3-4 times a day on one account. Preferably 2 should be the max. Hence why if you’re niche truly works, I advise you make 5 tik tok accounts on one phone and starting posting content on each phone. I’ve done this myself in fast growing industries in order to get an edge on my competitors.
Rule #4
Hooks. My generations attention span is about 3 seconds, if you take any longer to hook me into your content. Our relationship is over, I will not care for whatever your video is about. NEXT!
Rule #5
Followers on Tik Tok really don’t matter at all, everyone goes on the for you page. They don’t check their following page ever… so don’t be afraid to repost content with new hashtags, don’t be afraid to make slightly different videos with the same idea.
Usually your (following) audience won’t see it again unless you’re insanely famous. If they follow you plus like your videos, they might see your content again on their FYP.
Rule #6
The back-round needs to be moving, something in the video needs to have action to it and it needs to be fast, when I refer to fast try to think you’re watching a YouTube video in normal speed but want to increase it to 1.25x speed, the sound and everything gets altered so you just have to actually do the actions faster, don’t take too long to get to the point.
Rule #7
If you can use your face, use it.
Rule #8
Like any marketing strategy, make sure it’s either entertaining or informing. Informing content will usually have more saves, entertaining content will usually have more shares. So it’s best to try and mix around your content to get the best possible reach.
Rule #9
Scale, after you post your first 30-40 videos. Start reposting your oldest videos in order to keep pushing at least something out to the algorithm. It’ll help you stay consistent. But once you repost the video it won’t get the same amount of clicks.
Rule #10
Look at what works, don’t try to create something crazy new. Often times your competition has already figured out what the audience engages to the most yet the content creator themselves doesn’t even realize it yet and don’t optimize their content.
Rule #11
If you’re going to have text in your video, don’t leave the text at the top. The middle is preferable. (when users scroll, their eyes usually remain in the middle of the screen)
Rule #12
If you can get attractive women to post content for you, DO IT at all costs.
These are the 12 golden rules to get started, everything else is just mental master-baiting.
