A few months ago, I decided to run an experiment. Knowing that Substack as a platform is on a major rise, I wanted to see if I could capitalize on that search demand on Google.
Substack is a pretty competitive KW (Keyword) and bowtiedopossum.com isn’t an authoritive site. So how high up in the SERPs could I get and what long tail KW’s could I capture with just one post?
I’m currently 3.5 months into this experiment and the page still hasn’t fully settled on Google yet, but here’s where we are right now.
What I Did
I wrote an entire page dedicated to Substack. Substack - Everything You Need to Know. Go to the link to see how it’s structured.
I didn’t drag on and on with filler words to try to hit a word count quota. I wanted to answer as much user intent about the platform as humanly possible and as short amount of words as possible.
