Great post! Love the in-depth analysis from Bulldog. Tetra would be proud. I agree with focusing more on the organic search traffic before spreading thin on different social media platforms (since it could be a one man shop). Except Pinterest since that seems to get more views for him. Good stuff!

This post is freaking exceptional!!! I'm a new follow and this is very well sone - going to search now - but you've mentioned "manual" backlink building. Have you written on that in the past? It seems like the most difficult thing to do for a site - especially when you consider most social posts are "nofollow", and not really valuable (I think). Great stuff!

The least expensive way to do it if you don't have a large budget is:

1. HARO

2. Develop relationships with creators in your community...

3. Develop relationships with journalists

3. Provide value and ask others if you can provide a guest post for their audience. Actually have to be providing value consistently though...

Thank you! I'll sign up for HARO - I had to Google that to see what it was. Looks like link-building is very hands-on. Is this something you have had success selling to clients - like a link-building package, or is it better to simply consult on link-building and let them run with it? Really appreciate your feedback - thank you.
