Started off my affiliate site with a YMYL niche (skincare). Domain is also branded. Seems like both of those factors are going to increase my ranking timeline. Hoping I can land some backlinks, but really just to going through trial and error at this point. I am almost at 30 posts and plan to switch to another related content silo (YMYL). Should I step away to another non-YMYL niche with high commissions, get it to rank, then circle back to YMYL? Been following your advices and Tetras throughout.
1. How good you actually are at KW research. If you're good, you can still find KW that you can easily rank for. It's harder but doable.
2. How long it's taken you to write 30 posts. This kind of goes with #1. If you can find and rank good KW and write them quickly, then you have a shot.
3. What Google thinks of your site thus far. Idk how long you've been working on your site or what your GSC looks like.
4. Your other acquisition plans that you can get traffic to the site with. Social, etc.
